New Orleans Jesters U19’s defeat Port City FC U19’s 4-3
Gautier, MS. The New Orleans Jesters U19’s defeated Port City FC U19’s 4-3 on Friday night at The Jackson County Soccer Complex. Midfielder Russell Brown led the way with a first half brace as the Jesters won their second straight match.
The Jesters were 4-0 up before the break with goals from forward Taylor Weeks, two from Russell Brown midfielder Sair Pcheco.
Simon Thames pulled a goal back just before half time and added a second on the hour mark. A late goal from Benjamin Magee brought Port City back into the game but New Orleans held on for the win.
The Jesters are back at Pan American Stadium on Saturday May 1 to face the Florida Roots FC U19; kick off is set for 4 PM.
The NPSL U-19 pilot spring season features a nine game schedule with each team playing a home and away series versus the other teams. The participating teams for the spring season are Florida Roots, New Orleans Jesters, Southern States Soccer and Port City FC.
The league runs from March to May. The gameday roster consists of U-17, U-18, and U-19 players along with up to three overage players. For more information please visit NPSL.com.
