New Orleans, LA.  The New Orleans Jesters take on Pensacola FC Wednesday night at Pan American Stadium, gates open at 6:00 PM with kick off set for 7:00 PM.  The Jesters (2-2-2) enter the match two points behind Pensacola (3-1-1) who have won three straight games coming into the week’s matches.

New Orleans Jesters head coach Kenny Farrell,

“Pensacola FC have had a very good run of games in June with three wins on the bounce.  We know that they are a good side and we are looking forward to testing ourselves against them.

When we work hard and perform at the level that we are capable of we are a very good side.  The players have been excellent over the past two games and I’m expecting another strong performance from them on Wednesday.

New Orleans enters the match after two tough road games, picking up a 1-0 win versus Florida Roots FC on Thursday courtesy of a Mason Morise headed finish in the second half.

The Jesters came very close to taking all three points on Saturday night in Tallahassee but were unable to convert a penalty-kick in the 87th minute as Tallahassee held on for the 0-0 tie.

Wednesday’s match marks the halfway point in the season for the fifth place Jesters and with a key game versus fourth placed AFC Mobile set for Saturday night the next few days could prove pivotal; the top four teams in the Gulf Coast Conference advance to the postseason.

Tickets for Wednesday’s match are $10 and can be purchased online at www.nolajesters.com.
