Jesters home Saturday night versus Southern States

New Orleans, LA.  The New Orleans Jesters take on Southern States SC Saturday night at Pan American Stadium; gates open at 6 PM with kickoff set for 7PM.  New Orleans are unbeaten in their last five matches including a thrilling come from behind 3-3 tie versus Port City FC on Wednesday night.

Port City FC took the lead three times on Wednesday but on each occasion the Jesters fought back to level the game.The final New Orleans goal of the evening came with seconds of stoppage time remaining as forward Amin Zahhar marked his debut with a superb late equalizer.

This is the second match of the season versus Southern States and the Jesters will be looking to reverse a narrow 2-1 loss suffered in the first game played back on May 15.  Team captain Mason Walsh fired New Orleans ahead in that game but Southern States scored two unanswered goals to earn the victory.

The Jesters enter Saturday’s match in fifth position in the NPSL Gulf Coast Standings, a point behind Pensacola FC and AFC Mobile who are in third and fourth position respectively.  The top four teams in the division advance to the postseason.
