Jesters kick off NPSL campaign Sunday in Pensacola
New Orleans, LA. The New Orleans Jesters will kick off their 2024 NPSL campaign this Sunday in Pensacola, FL with a 6:30 PM match versus Pensacola FC. The Jesters will be led by returning team captain Ricardo Gomez who returns for a third season with the team.
The Jesters will play in the NPSL’s new Gulf Coast Sunshine conference with several old rivalries renewed plus new teams in a ten game regular season schedule with a chance to represent New Orleans in the National playoffs.
Jesters head coach Kenny Farrell is looking forward to the season kick off on Sunday,
“We’ve had a short but very productive period of preparation and the players have worked hard and have applied themselves well in all the sessions.
These early season games are always difficult but if we bring the intensity we have the quality within the group to get a positive result.”
The New Orleans Jesters first home match is set for Saturday May 18 vs Columbus United FC. The game is at Pan American Stadium, City Park; gates open at 6:00 PM with kick off set for 7:00 PM ($10, www.nolajesters.com).

ABOUT THE NEW ORLEANS JESTERS
Established in 2003, the New Orleans Jesters are the leading soccer team in New Orleans,
Louisiana. The team competes in the Gulf Coast Sunshine Division of the National Premier Soccer League(NPSL), and they play their home games at Pan-American Stadium. The stadium was destroyed during Hurricane Katrina in 2005, but it was rebuilt by the community ahead of the 2008 season. Since then, it has continued to be the home of the Jesters, serving as a reminder of the city and the club’s resilience.
