Harvey Read joins New Orleans Jesters for 2021 NPSL season

New Orleans, LA.  Defender Harvey Read will join the New Orleans Jesters for the upcoming NPSL season.  Read is a current member of the Marquette University Soccer team which has recently advanced to the Big East conference playoffs. 

New Orleans Jesters Head Coach Kenny Farrell is looking forward to integrating Read into his team,

“Harvey is a talented young defender and is enjoying a good season with Marquette University.  He should fit in well with our squad here in New Orleans and I’m excited to begin working with him..”

A native of Southampton, UK, Harvey Read, 6-2 185 lbs, is enjoying a superb first campaign with Marquette after transferring from Rhode Island where he played his freshman season.  Marquette have advanced to the Big East Conference semifinal where they will meet Seton Hall tomorrow afternoon.

Prior to coming the United States Read was a member of Southampton FC’s Academy (U8-U16) then Stoke City FC (U18-U23) and Eastleigh FC

The New Orleans Jesters will play a fourteen-game NPSL regular season schedule with the first home match set for 7 PM vs AFC Mobile on Saturday, May 8 at Pan American Stadium. Season tickets, group tickets and individual game tickets are all on sale now at www.nolajesters.com.
