Schumacher comes to the Jesters from NCAA D1 Coastal Carolina University Soccer Program where he just completed his freshman year.
New Orleans Jesters Head Coach Kenny Farrell is excited to get to work with again Schumacher this summer,
“Jourdan has progressed from the recreational program in partnership with Carrollton Boosters, through the Academy, on to an NCAA D1 soccer program and now back with us at the NPSL team. He’s a great example of what is possible at the Jetsers if you work hard and stay committed. The NPSL season will challenge him while also helping with his continued soccer development.”
Jourdan Schumacher is looking forward to playing in New Orleans,
“I think it’s a great opportunity for me to further my development as a goalkeeper at a high level. Playing with guys from all around the world that share the same passion as myself is an incredible thing.
Being able to play for the first team of a club I grew up playing for is also a great opportunity and I’m looking forward to getting every bit of experience out of it. I Can’t wait to help bring a trophy back to this club.”
Schumacher had an outstanding youth career capped by being named the Gatorade Louisiana 2020-2021 Boys Soccer Player of the Year. A product of the New Orleans Jesters Academy, Schumacher played for the Jesters since he was 10 years old.
