Jesters open training camp in preparation for start of NPSL season

New Orleans, LA. With the first regular season game just around the corner, the Jesters opened training camp this week in preparation for their May 12th Gulf Coast conference matchup against Southern States SC.

The first practice was held early Thursday morning at Pan American Stadium with head coach Kenny Farrell putting the players through their paces.

Team captain Ricardo Gomez was pleased with the first session and the effort the squad put forward,

“Overall, I think it was very sharp, we got out of it what we wanted to,” said Gomez about the first day out. The session featured a variety of passing and defensive drills plus some conditioning.

With the season fast approaching, Gomez also commented about his expectations for the squad “I kind of want to set an even higher standard for 2023. My only expectation with this team is to get a championship out of it.”

The New Orleans Jesters will appear in a ten-match NPSL regular season schedule featuring all five home appearances at Pan American Stadium. Single game, season ticket packages and group tickets are on sale now on the Jesters website and at https://tickets.npsl.com/venues/1087
