Jesters Bounce Back with a Win Over Club de Lyon

NEW ORLEANS, Louisiana – JUN 12 2025; Second away game for the Jesters against Club de Lyon Result : New Orleans 2-1

The New Orleans Jesters faced Club de Lyon on Thursday, June 12th, in Jacksonville, Florida. Even though Club de Lyon is from Orlando, both teams met in Jacksonville for this important matchup in the NPSL regular season.

The game started with an early challenge for the Jesters, as Club de Lyon scored in the 2nd minute after a defensive mistake. But the Jesters responded quickly — just two minutes later, a corner kick found Jack Greenwood at the back post, and he scored to tie the game 1-1.

The team kept playing with confidence, controlling possession and creating chances. Right before halftime, Juan Braz almost gave the Jesters the lead with a strong header that hit the crossbar.

In the second half, the Jesters took the lead after a great play from winger JP Gonzalez, making it 2-1. Later in the game, a Club de Lyon player was sent off with a red card after pushing Caleb Evans, helping the Jesters keep control for the rest of the match.

With this result, the Jesters now have 3 wins and 1 loss in the regular season. Two games remain, both against Jacksonville Armada. The first game will be this Saturday, June 14th, at 6 PM CT — also in Jacksonville.
