Jesters close out NPSL regular season Saturday vs Jacksonville Armada
New Orleans, LA. The New Orleans Jesters close out the NPSL regular season on Saturday with a 7 PM match versus Jacksonville Armada at Pan American Stadium.
Jesters head coach Kenny Farrell is expecting to close out the season on a positive note,
“We’re looking forward to coming back to Pan American stadium and playing in front of our fans. The boys have responded well to last weekend’s tough result and have been positive and energetic in training this week. We are focused on the game and if the players apply themselves they have the quality to earn a positive result.”
The Jesters lost 3-1 in Jacksonville in the reverse fixture played back on June 7. Sheldon Green scored the lone goal for New Orleans in a match that saw the Jesters finish the game with ten men after defender Joaquin Suarez was ejected after receiving two cautions.
Oliver Moller-Jensen, Sebastian Zettl and Toby McCallum supplied the goals for the Armada.
Jacksonville enters Saturday’s game in first place in the Gulf Coast Sunshine Conference standings having won four games in succession including last weekend’s 2-0 victory versus the Miami Dutch Lions.
New Orleans lost 3-0 last weekend conceding three late goals in a road game versus Pensacola.
