Jesters defeat Pensacola in opening NPSL match

Pensacola, FL.  The New Orleans Jesters defeated Pensacola FC 1-0 in the opening game of the NPSL season.  The goal was scored from a deflected shot in the first 10 minutes of the match.  The away victory also featured a shut-out performance from goalkeeper Juan Pablo Chavez in his first game for the Jesters.

The New Orleans Jesters first home match is set for Saturday May 18 vs Columbus United FC.  The game is at Pan American Stadium, City Park; gates open at 6:00 PM with kick off set for 7:00 PM ($10, www.nolajesters.com).
