Jesters face Pensacola FC Saturday night

New Orleans, LA.  The New Orleans Jesters are back home Saturday night to take on Pensacola FC at Pan American Stadium. Gates open at 6 PM with kick off set for 7 PM.  The Jesters were held to a 3-3 tie in their first home game of the season last weekend vs NPSL debutants Columbus United.

Head coach Kenny Farrell is pleased with the start to the season,

“The players were disappointed after the late goal because they felt they had done enough to win the game. I was pleased with the performance though and I thought the focus and workrate was superb across the whole squad. We have a good team and if we continue to put in the work we have the quality to get results.”

Forward Sheldon Green scored twice in the game versus Columbus with his strike partner Juan Pablo Gonzalez adding a third. Gonzalez’s goal came in the 87th minute to put New Orleans 3-2 up but United scored a stoppage time equalizer to force the tie.

The Jesters defeated Pensacola 1-0 in the opening game of the season on May 12 in Pensacola. In a tight back and forth game the lone goal came via a deflected show early in the first half.
