Jesters return to NPSL action this week with two matches

New Orleans, LA.  The New Orleans Jesters return to NPSL Gulf Coast action this week with a pair of games.  Wednesday evening the Jesters travel to Pensacola FL to take on Pensacola FC (7:30 PM, elevensports.com) and then on Saturday night the Jesters return home to Pan American Stadium for a 7 PM match versus Tallahassee SC ($10, nolajesters.com).

New Orleans (3-1-1) enters the week in second position in the Gulf Coast four points behind Southern States SC (4-1-2) but having played two fewer games.

Head coach Kenny Farrell is looking for his players to continue the hard work,

“We are facing two very difficult opponents this week and will need to be at our best to get the results we are looking for.  The players have been superb so far not just in the games but also in training where the standards have been high. We will need to be sharp and focused in what are certain to be two very hard tests.”

Pensacola FC are just three points behind the Jesters and Wednesday will be the first time the teams have faced off this season.  New Orleans hosts the return fixture in the final game of the season on July 8.

The Jesters battled Tallahassee SC to a 0-0 tie last weekend in a game played in Tallahassee with New Orleans forced to play the final 25 minutes a man short after midfielder Alex Blanche was sent off after receiving a second yellow card.

Tickets are available now for Saturday’s match versus Tallahassee SC ($10 adults / $7 children: nolajesters.com).
