Jesters U-19 loses to Pensacola FC U-19

New Orleans, LA. The New Orleans Jesters U-19 lost 1-0 in a hard fought match with Pensacola FC U-19 Saturday afternoon at Ashton Brosnaham Stadium in Pensacola, FL. Pensacola forward Logan Harrelson’s first half goal proved to be the difference between the teams in an entertaining NPSL U-19 pilot match.

The lone goal came in the 25th minute as Harrelson reacted first to a loose ball in the box and fired home past Jesters goalkeeper Jourdan Schumacher.

The Jesters responded well and midfielder Sam Nichols came close to equalizing minutes later with a looping strike from 25 yards out that was tipped over the bar by the goalkeeper.

After the break New Orleans continued to press for an equalizer but were unable to find the breakthrough despite controlling the majority of the ball and the game finished 1-0 in favor of the home side.
