Mason Walsh returns to Jesters for 2020 NPSL Season

New Orleans, LA. Mason Walsh will return to play for the New Orleans Jesters for the upcoming 2020 NPSL season.  Walsh was a key member of the Jesters squad from 2014 – 2018 and is excited to play for New Orleans again as the team returns to the field after a one year hiatus.

“I’m really looking forward to getting started with the squad and our first game on May 9,” said New Orleans Jesters forward Mason Walsh. “The Jesters are one of the strongest teams in the NPSL and our fans are the best in the league. It’s exciting to be back after a year break.”

Jesters head coach Kenny Farrell is also pleased to be bringing Walsh back to his squad, “Mason has been a top performer for us and as one of the veterans in the group we will be expecting to see him lead some of the younger players. “He has good ability and if he works hard has the potential to be one of the leading players in our conference.”

A native of Southampton UK, Mason Walsh, 24 years old, played four previous seasons for the Jesters from 2014 – 2018.  Prior to joining New Orleans, Walsh played for the English Premier League’s AFC Bournemouth.

The Jesters will compete in the NPSL Gulf Coast Conference starting with an away match vs Port City FC on Saturday, May 9.  The first home match is set for Saturday, May 16th vs AFC Mobile.

The New Orleans Jesters will host a player trial on Saturday, March 7 at Pan American Stadium in City Park from 10 AM to 1 PM. The cost to attend trials is $60 ($75 on-site registration), all attendees will receive a New Orleans Jesters training jersey.  Players interested in attending should complete an application at



Founded in 2003 the New Orleans Jesters have represented New Orleans in the sport of soccer for almost two decades.  The Jesters have enjoyed considerable success on the field making the postseason on six occasions including four of their past five seasons.

The Jesters have been coached since inception by Kenny Farrell and have a long history of developing players for the professional ranks including current MLS players Patrick Mullins and Andrew Tarbell.
