New Orleans Jesters lose to Jacksonville Armada FC

Jacksonville, FL. The New Orleans Jesters lost 5-0 to Jacksonville Armada tonight at Hodges Stadium.The result leaves New Orleans in 4th position in the NPSl Gulf Coast Conference with one game remaining; the top four sides advance to the playoffs.

Jacksonville took the lead in the 13th minute from a free kick. Toby McAllum’s shot from distance hit the post and deflected in off Jesters GK Alex Hare.

A minute later it was 2-0 with Saula Da Saliva finishing from close range after a goalmouth scramble.

Jacksonville added third in stoppage time at the end of the first half through Eduardo Coimbra who then added a fourth goal in the 67th minute.

Ayrton Redmore capped off the result with a fifth goal in the 86th minute.

The Jesters are back home at Pan American Stadium on Saturday July 8 for the regular season final versus Pensacola FC ($10, nolajesters.com).
