New Orleans Jesters U-19’s looks to extend winning streak

New Orleans, LA. The New Orleans Jesters U-19 takes on AFC Mobile U-19 on Saturday in the NPSL U-19 pilot League.  The game kicks off at 4 PM at Cottage Hill Park in Mobile, AL. The Jesters enter the match looking to extend their two game win streak after consecutive victories versus Port City FC and AFC Mobile FC.

Jesters U-19 head coach Igor Siskov is looking to keep the momentum going.

The boys worked extremely hard last week against a very strong opponent.  They stuck to the game plan, applied themselves well and were rewarded with a very good win. We know that Mobile are going to present a very difficult test and we will have to be completely focused in order to get a positive result.”

The New Orleans Jesters are unbeaten in their last three games with two wins and a tie.  One of the wins came versus Saturday’s opponent with a 7-1 victory vs Mobile back on October 4

AFC Mobile are still looking for their first victory of the campaign but have played one fewer match than the Jesters.

New Orleans striker Matthew Vallejo led the way last Sunday in the win versus Port City, coming off the bench to head home the game winner.  It was Vallejo’s second goal of the season.

The U-19 pilot league is  managed by the NPSL, and affiliated with the United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA).

The pilot runs from September through November.  Each team will play a total of eight games, four home and four away. The gameday roster will consist of U-17, U-18, and U-19 players along with up to three overage players.
